The rums of the BANQERO XO line are double aged for 6 or more years, beginning their maturation in the tropics before undergoing a “Swiss Finish” in our own cellar on the shores of Lake Geneva.
BANQERO
XO West Indies
40% vol – 70cl
The first born of the XO range, BANQERO West Indies is a blend of 4 carefully selected rums from the Caribbean and Central America (Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Salvador). These rums have undergone a first onsite aging of 5 to 6 years in bourbon barrels, before finishing their maturation for 18 months in barrels of Mitis, in Switzerland. At the end of the process, the rum offers brown sugar and white oak on the nose. BANQERO West Indies is a rich and opulent rum, combining notes of caramel, honey and a hint of dark chocolate as a final note.

BANQERO XO Guatemala is born from virgin sugar cane honey and embodies quintessential Guatemalan craftsmanship. The rum is aged in Central Amercia in bourbon barrels for 4 years, then leaves for Switzerland to finish the ageing process in Mitis casks for 24 months. The result produces a «warm» nose on brown sugar and tropical yellow fruits, mango on the top with a delicate and elegant palate combining notes of toffee, white oak and a hint of vanilla in the finish.

BANQERO XO Trinidad is born from sugar cane molasses. The rum is aged in the Caribbean in bourbon barrels for 5 years, then leaves for Switzerland to finish the ageing process in Mitis casks for 24 months. The result produces a spiced nose, packed with vanilla and toffee. The palate offers a heavy opulent rum typical of Trinidad, combining notes of dark chocolate, bitter and licorice with a very long finish of warm spices and a hint of coffee.
