BANQERO BRUT Jamaica is produced in the lush plains of the Lluidas Vale region, following the most authentic Jamaican tradition. Distilled in 2018 solely from molasses in a copper pot still, this rum was bottled in 2024. After an initial aging of 4 years in bourbon barrels in the heart of the island, this rum completed the maturation process in Switzerland for 24 months in barrels used for aging Mitis, a sweet white wine from the Wallis region. The first batch, “Cask No.6,” produced 405 numbered bottles.
Without any added sugar or additives, this rum presents a complex nose with notes of green apple, tropical yellow fruits and spices characteristic of the heavy rums produced in this region. The palate is powerful and dry. There are hints of pineapple, banana, and cinnamon, with herbal, spicy undertones. A Jamaican ‘dunder’ in all its glory, perfect for thrill seekers!
